My study
I am a university student studying in City university of Hong Kong School of continuing and professional education pursuing a bachelor's degree of business information technology. I am interested in computer related skills so I choose this program as my university study. In this program, I will learn more about how to apply computer technology knowledge into business situations. More importantly, I will learn to use python to write programs.
I was graduated from HKUGA College. In these 6 years of secondary school life, I have participated in many activities like sports teams and volunteer services. These experience helped me to develop into an independent and responsible individual. I choose biology and accounting as my elective subjects, unfortunately, I did not choose ICT. Therefore, I would like to explore the world of technology in my university study.

My prospective career
When I have completed my studies, I wish to pursue a junior programmer job position specializing in python. In this position, I can use my expertise to help the company to solve problems by building programs. Also, I can improve and modify existing programs to increase work efficiency. I did not take ICT as an elective subject in secondary education so many other students may have an advantage over me as they have more basic knowledge about computing and programming. Therefore, I have to spent a lot more time on studying programming than others. To pursue my prospective career, I will have to remember the basic components of python. Apart from revising materials from school, I have been watching tutorial videos about python from Youtube. This is a method of learning that I personally prefer. These tutorial video helped me to clarify the basic concepts in python like the difference between lists and tuples. I began to develop the ability to write simple programs. But this is insufficient to gain a junior programmer job position for me. So I will need to understand how a program is built by reading programs.
My academic objectives
In this 3 years, I want to become capable enough to build a python program without assistance from others. When I began to study programming, I found it to be very challenging for me to understand the concepts. To write a python program, you will need a clear logic flow and this is the most important skill that I have to develop in the future. I tired to read the programs given by my tutor so that adapt to this method to presenting ideas and logic. Also, I can encounter more functions and operators of python so I can know when to use them. So my goal this year is to be able to understand the logic flow of different programs. Even if I cannot write a program by myself, I should be able to understand a program.
